Say Hello to my Rootz at Two!

Yaaay! 😀 My fro turns two today and if you know me well enough, you will understand how excited I get around this time! It’s like watching a baby grow and being blown away each time by its growth and potential. My hair has definitely come a far way in the two years that I’ve been natural and I continue to fall in love with it more and more as time goes by. I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Purple Touch

Finally! A purple that does what it’s supposed to do! 😀

Yesterday I re-coloured my hair with the Avatar Secret Violet rinse and I must say that I am very pleased with how it turned out. This is very much in line with what I initially wanted. 

*Drumroll*… My First Nappyversary!!!

I’m a bit late in posting but my excitement has not been diminished. On May 31, 2015 I celebrated my first Nappyversary!!! (For those people who are new here, this simply means I celebrated my first Natural Hair anniversary). Time really flies when you’re having fun because it has been nothing but happiness with my new found love 🙂

Return of the Frohawk

It has been over six months since my last frohawk hairstyle and just about the same time since my last salon visit as I don’t mind being my own stylist. This time I tried a new salon despite a few bad reviews I have received from known clients.

My first go at the Fro

Ever since my big chop in May 2014 where I left the salon with what can be called a frohawk, I have not considered wearing a full blown afro without reservations. My reservations came in the form of worrying how well my hair could withstand all the possible obstacles throughout the workday. These feared obstacles ranged from dryness, to tangling, to everybody and their family wanting to touch it.
