I decided to transition by using braids as a protective styling while my natural hair grows. I knew that growth wouldn’t happen over night but gosh! I just want to be fully natural already! Impatience is killing me. Hats off to the people who transitioned all the way, waiting years for their hair to be fully natural.

Starting Over
I first permed my hair in my final year at University (2008) mainly because I needed a different look for graduation. One would think that at such a stage in your life you would be making wise decisions BUT NOPE! I think that was one of my biggest mistakes. I really wish I didn’t do it.
