*Drumroll*… My First Nappyversary!!!

I’m a bit late in posting but my excitement has not been diminished. On May 31, 2015 I celebrated my first Nappyversary!!! (For those people who are new here, this simply means I celebrated my first Natural Hair anniversary). Time really flies when you’re having fun because it has been nothing but happiness with my new found love 🙂

Choppingz!!!

So after a rather long, anxious wait I finally did the big chop and I must say that I’m definitely loving it! I feel so relieved, so free, so… Natural! 😀 Surprisingly, I had more new growth than I expected so it really wasn’t such a ‘big’ chop but a big step nonetheless.

My day started with the removal of my braids after which I journeyed to Beautiful Earth Natural Hair Haven for my 2 pm appointment. 

Starting Over

I first permed my hair in my final year at University (2008) mainly because I needed a different look for graduation. One would think that at such a stage in your life you would be making wise decisions BUT NOPE! I think that was one of my biggest mistakes. I really wish I didn’t do it.
